What Are People Saying About Ernie G?

"Ernie G is a master at celebrating the Latino experience with a smile and serving up laughs that help build bridges.  Even if he is an
"Angry Angeleno," Ernie G makes you feel good about the
Latino experience and living and loving life in LA;
no matter what your last name is..."

- Jose Huizar, L.A. City Council.

“There are many comedians in our world, but very few who are
not only able to entertain but also land a message of empowerment
and Ernie G is clearly one of those few gifted ones.   His ability to
make us laugh and think about who we are is truly a gift!”

- Daniel Gutierrez, Latino Motivator.

One of the first things you notice about Ernie G is that the guy is articulate... His humor is infused with the theme of
celebrating Latino excellence.”

Ernie G Delivers Key Note Address for
UCLA's 32nd Annual RAZA Graduation Ceremony

Ernie G was absolutely thrilled and honored recently when he was invited to be
the Key Note Speaker for UCLA's 32nd Annual RAZA Graduation Ceremony, last Father's Day, June 19, inside Pauley Pavillion on the UCLA Campus. For over 30 years, UCLA Raza Grad has given its graduating Latino students the opportunity to celebrate their academic achievement in a more personal, intimate and culturally relevant ceremony.  The Raza Grad Committee chose Ernie G as the Key Note Speaker for their commencement ceremony, which included well over 300 UCLA Latino Graduates, and over 5,000 of their family and friends.  Past commencement speakers have included: United Farm Workers Union Leader - Dolores Huerta, UCLA Associate Dean - Dr. Fernando Torres, and U.S. Rep. Esteban Torres.
Ernie G delivered a most heart-felt and poignant speech, and was completely overwhelmed by the warm and loving responses he received from those who attended the ceremony, especially from the UCLA grads, their families, and several UCLA Professors, as well.  Ernie may have found his nitch, as he was also invited to be the Key Note Speaker for A.E.W.C.'s High School Drop-Out Recovery Program Graduation in East L.A.  Ernie G feels honored by these invitations and takes pride in speaking to these students: "I feel truly blessed by any opportunity to participate in Celebrating Latino Excellence, and contributing to the progressive evolution of our culture."

Ernie G Honored with the 1st Annual
Mario Moreno "Cantinflas" Award

One of the proudest moments of Ernie G's career happened during last year's Latino Heritage Month, when he was Honored by former L.A. Mayor James K. Hahn, with the 1st Annual Mario Moreno "Cantinflas" Award.  Each year, the Mayor and the City of Los Angeles recognizes individuals who empower and unite the Latino community through their work. According to the award, Ernie was chosen for "representing the Latino community with the same humor and distinction as the legendary Mario Moreno "Cantinflas" and who, like Cantinflas, utilizes his power to help those most in need."
Ernie was deeply honored by this recognition, and was thrilled to receive this award before his family and a loving crowd of thousands, on the brand new Hollywood Strip, along Highland & Hollywood. Most memorable for Ernie, was sharing the stage with the esteemed panel of recipients, which included musician Carlos Santana, congressman Gil Cedillo, social activist Dolores Huerta, community leader Father Greg Boyle & Latina playwrite Josefina Lopez.

Ernie G's increasing Corporate Engagements pave the way for
the development of his new website: LatinoEdutainment.com.

Ernie G is becoming one of the country's most sought after Latino Entertainers, Educators, and Speakers. Career performances at many high profile corporate events, including the National Council de la Raza (NCLR) Conference the past few years, have helped Ernie make a name for himself in the corporate arena. Numerous Fortune 100 Companies, as well as non-profit organizations, colleges and universities throughout the country continue to contract his services for speaking engagements, award galas, or fundraising events.  Recently, he delivered the Key Note Address at UCLA's 32nd Annual RAZA Graduation, inspiring over 5000 UCLA graduates, students, friends and family members.
Recognizing the enormous demand for top-quality, progressive and well-written Latino Comedy, Entertainment, and Education, Ernie has announced plans for the development of his new Company and corporate site: LatinoEdutainment.com- "Educating and Entertaining with a Latino Flavor!" (to be launched in late 2006).  Today, Latino audiences are more sophisticated, informed, and creatively demanding than ever before, which has compelled Ernie to create and develop cutting-edge material which reflects this cultural evolution. Performing his own unique form of Comedy he calls "Edu-tainment," Ernie has made personal appearances for some of the country's top companies and organizations; including Pepsi-Co, the NBA, the U.S. Armed Forces, the Hispanic Scholarship Fund, and the Latin American Educational Foundation, to name a few.
One of his most memorable Corporate appearances was performing for Top Executives at General Mills Headquarters in Minneapolis, MN.  G.M. Executives were so impressed with Ernie G's simple, yet elegant message, they are working with Ernie to bring other Latino entertainers to Minneapolis, "...so we can educate our top GM executives on the diversity of the growing Latino Market, and dismantle the stereotypes many people have about Latinos.  Ernie does that in a hilarious, and pertinent way." - Diego Osuna, President, General Mills Hispanic Network.
